Thallitha Vieira, PH.D.

Dr. Thállitha Vieira is a Postdoctoral Fellow for One Health Research at UNC Charlotte. She completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) at the Pontifical Catholic University of Parana (PUC-PR), Veterinary Residency in Laboratory Diagnostics, and Masters and PhD at the Londrina State University (UEL), Brazil. Dr. Vieira was a tenured Research Associate and Lab Manager at the Federal University of Campina Grande (UFCG) and later at the Federal University of Parana (UFPR) for the last 11 years. Since then, she has acted as PI and Co-PI and collaborated on several research projects from various areas. Her research has focused on zoonotic diseases, particularly tick-borne pathogens, and the One Health approach. Her research summary includes 60 peer-reviewed publications on Medline and Scopus databases.
